- Aufbau Ost
- I was born and raised in Leipzig/ (East) Germany. I lived in Michigan the past 6 years and I recently returned to Germany to work on my Dissetation in Political Science. I am naturally very interested in Politics. This blog is called "Aufbau Ost" because this is my main interest in politics - the (re-)construction of East Germany - politically and economically. However I am interested in many other political subjects as well. My second passion is photography.

Oh, I'm shoing "Good Bye, Lenin!" to my students tomorrow in class. And "Other People's Lives" is playing in town, too. And a former "Ostie" (who teaches German literature at the college) is going to talk to my students. Should be fun!
Yes it should be fun. Especially if it sparks some discussion.
I have yet to see "other people's lives", but was quite impressed by the movie "Roter Kakadu". I am not sure a subtitled version or even an English one exists, but it might be an interesting showing as well.
