Oh, I'm shoing "Good Bye, Lenin!" to my students tomorrow in class. And "Other People's Lives" is playing in town, too. And a former "Ostie" (who teaches German literature at the college) is going to talk to my students. Should be fun!
Yes it should be fun. Especially if it sparks some discussion. I have yet to see "other people's lives", but was quite impressed by the movie "Roter Kakadu". I am not sure a subtitled version or even an English one exists, but it might be an interesting showing as well. Mel
I was born and raised in Leipzig/ (East) Germany. I lived in Michigan the past 6 years and I recently returned to Germany to work on my Dissetation in Political Science. I am naturally very interested in Politics. This blog is called "Aufbau Ost" because this is my main interest in politics - the (re-)construction of East Germany - politically and economically. However I am interested in many other political subjects as well. My second passion is photography.
